Happy New Year!
Spoilers till 3.10 "The New Deal"
Bonnie’s a VIP: Despite being absent for a while at the beginning of this season of The Vampire Diaries, Bonnie is the first person we see in this episode, mostly because she’s dreaming of the Originals’ coffins, without realizing what her dreams mean. But she soon gets involved in the entire situation and her witchy powers are once again called on.
Klaus is Back….With a Vengeance: Elena’s paranoid that Klaus hasn’t yet made a move since the Homecoming dance, but that soon comes to an end when the Original stops by for a drink at the Grill. He tells the duo that he’s looking for Stefan, but Elena tells him his problem lies with her old squeeze, not them. Oh yeah, and he’s also kind of concerned about his missing sister. But Klaus is done playing games and confronts Damon at the Salvatore house, telling him exactly how Stefan stole his family members andthat he wants Damon’s help in retrieving them. When Damon reminds Klaus that he doesn’t exist to do his bidding, Klaus decides “…a demonstration is in order. It seems you people respond best to displays of violence.” You should be concerned. Klaus is not fooling around.
Elena & Stefan Are Not Sitting in a Tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G: Elena is very, very angry with Stefan after the events of the previous episode. When Bonnie asks Elena about her wayward boyfriend, Elena resolutely declares that Stefan “betrayed us”. The two of them do interact in this episode, but will the outcome be what Stelena fans had hoped for? Elena also takes a few large and unexpected steps in this episode without consulting her allies.
Tyler’s Loyalties Are Questioned: When Jeremy gets huffy with his sister and Alaric for their concern, he decides to invite Tyler inside for dinner. Elena and Alaric are both extremely wary of Tyler and his motivations because he was sired by Klaus. They ask him to explain his connection to the Original, but aren’t pleased with his answers. After all, as Elena says, “Klaus has terrorized every one of us and you’re just blindly loyal to him”. “You’re over-thinking it. I can still make my own decisions”, Tyler shoots back, upset that they’re questioning his choices like Caroline did. Can you, though, Tyler? It will soon become clear whose side Tyler is on.

Julie Plec pratar om Tyler & Caroline och Bonnies mamma
Before this long horrible break we saw Tyler confess to Caroline that being a hybrid is WAYYY better because he doesn’t have to go through the pain of transforming into a werewolf every full moon and if him having some bond between him and Klaus is part of it then he will have to accept it! Really I can understand him not wanting to be a werewolf every month, I personally would not want to do that either! But Caroline couldn’t exactly see it from his eyes and broke all our hearts when she basically told him to go away.
Julie Dishes that Tyler and Caroline have a lot to overcome when the season continues in January.
“Tyler and Caroline have a lot to overcome,” Julie says. “Because Tyler, on his own, has a lot to overcome. It’s pretty bleak, right now, and it’s only going to start to get bleaker before it gets better. I loved what Tyler said to Caroline at the end of the last episode, which was ‘I can’t hate this, because it’s better. Because I don’t have to go through that pain. Because in a way, I feel free, so fight for me, and fight for us,’” Julie reminds us. “She doesn’t know if she can, so when we come back, he’s not happy with her. He’s not happy with anything. He’s got Klaus whispering in his ear saying ‘I need you to do this for me. You need to ‘serve your master,’” Julie explains. “Tyler is in a very, very bad situation that almost has catastrophic consequences. It’s going to take him a while to earn his way back into the good graces of our heroes, his friends, and Caroline.”
Julie also dishes a little bit about Abby Bennet, Bonnies’ Mom who has been bascially a figment of our imagination because all we know is that she hasn’t been in Bonnies’ life and other than that we know nothing about her except that she didn’t want anything to do with witchcraft.
So what can Julie Plec tell us? Here’s what she had to say about Bonnie and Bonnies so far missing Mother Abby Bennett.
“Bonnie gave herself over to the relationship with Jeremy and it ended badly,” Julie says. “She’s really been struggling. When we get back from the hiatus she gets pulled right back into the witch side of business. She’s been helping deal with hiding the coffins and all the other things that are going on, being the only witch in town. I can’t give away too much in terms of the catalyst that brings them together and in terms of the mythology,” Julie says. “But I’ll say that emotionally, Bonnie needs a touchstone that is disconnected from this vampire life. She finds that in the mother who, as we’ll learn, abandoned her a long, long time ago — and abandoned being a witch, too. There’s some great conflict there, and we’re just scratching the s
Officiell Synopsis för "5.10" The New Deal
A REASON TO FEEL GUILTY — Stefan (Paul Wesley) has hidden the coffins containing the bodies of Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) family, and Klaus quickly turns to violence to convince Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) that no one will be safe until he finds Stefan and gets his family back. Tyler (Michael Trevino) continues to make the most of his new abilities as a hybrid, but he has to face the disturbing consequences of his actions as well. After a terrifying incident, Elena and Alaric (Matt Davis) grow increasingly concerned about Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) attitude and, ultimately, his safety. Alaric meets the beautiful Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto, “Pretty Little Liars”), who is intrigued with his amazing ability to heal. While trying to strike a deal with Klaus, Elena delivers news that truly shocks him. Kat Graham also stars and internet personality Justine Ezarik guest stars as a bartender.

Paul Wesley pratar Klaus!
Paul Wesley chatted with EW about some of the things to expect on The Vampire Diaires second half of the season and thankfully he dishes that Klaus will NEVER be the good guy!!!! Thank goodness cause Klaus is one of my most favorite characters and I just can’t and don’t ever want to see Klaus as the good guy! Joseph Morgan is doing an exceptional actor and he is making Klaus into the bad guy that everyone loves to hate!!
“I don’t think Klaus is in any danger of ever becoming a good guy,” he tells EW. He will either stick around as a villain for quite a while or he’ll be sent out with a big bang. I don’t think we’ll ever convert Klaus into like one of the guys in Mystic Falls who works at the Mystic Grill flipping burgers. That would be a big mistake. He needs to be that big dark entity.”
Paul also goes on to give another tidbit about the relationship his character Stefan will have with the bad guy Klaus, it’s going to be a very interesting second half of the season by the sounds of it.
Klaus is “definitely still a huge part of the second half of the season,” and that he and Stefan will “continue to walk that fine line between friendship and foe.” “There’s things we need from him and there’s things he needs from us. It’s that sort of back-and-forth for the rest of the season,” he says.
