Assignment X gets a chance to talk exclusively with the hot sexy Paul Wesley about how he feels about the change in his character Stefan and past roles. Paul is such a great guy, he gives really good interviews and really opens up about how he really feels and how he don’t like doing “wire work” can’t much blame him on that one!!!
ASSIGNMENT X: Were you looking forward to playing Stefan as an absolute badass this season?
PAUL WESLEY: Yeah, more than anything else. I want to play a variety of different characters in my life, and I didn’t want to be stereotyped, so it’s a great opportunity for me to do something different.

AX: Were you just hoping that character development was going to come along, did you know that was coming, or was that a big surprise?
WESLEY: No. I told [series producers] Julie [Plec] and Kevin [Williamson], “Look, I’d really love to do something,” and they said, “Great,” and they agreed. We don’t want anything to be redundant – we want to keep it fresh for the viewers.
AX: You’ve played some other horror/sci-fi/fantasy characters prior to Stefan …
WESLEY: I played Lucas Luthor on SMALLVILLE. I did a [werewolf] show called WOLF LAKE [on CBS]. And then I did a pilot for the WB that didn’t get picked up.
AX: Stefan is a big change from your last series regular, Aaron on FALLEN. When you did the telefilm version of that, did you think it was going to go to series?
WESLEY: When I shot the pilot, I knew it was a two-hour movie regardless. I knew that it was going to air. I knew that the production quality was really phenomenal. I wasn’t sure if they’d be able to afford it [as a series], because there [were] so many special effects and so many action sequences. But I wasn’t incredibly surprised. It was my fifth pilot, and it was one of the better ones I’ve done.
AX: Physically, what’s the hardest thing you’ve done as an actor? Wire work, where your character is flying or leaping superhuman heights?
WESLEY: [Wire work] sucks. I hate it. I’m not going to lie. It literally hurts. You have a scene where you have to act, you have to be in character, and then you have this incredible pain in your groin area, because your entire weight is essentially on this wire on your groin. It’s awful. Anybody that says it’s fun is completely lying. But, am I going to suck it up and then when I see the final product am I going to be happy that I did it? Yes. But if you’re going to ask me [laughs], it’s not fun.

Paul Wesley pratar Klaus!
Paul Wesley chatted with EW about some of the things to expect on The Vampire Diaires second half of the season and thankfully he dishes that Klaus will NEVER be the good guy!!!! Thank goodness cause Klaus is one of my most favorite characters and I just can’t and don’t ever want to see Klaus as the good guy! Joseph Morgan is doing an exceptional actor and he is making Klaus into the bad guy that everyone loves to hate!!
“I don’t think Klaus is in any danger of ever becoming a good guy,” he tells EW. He will either stick around as a villain for quite a while or he’ll be sent out with a big bang. I don’t think we’ll ever convert Klaus into like one of the guys in Mystic Falls who works at the Mystic Grill flipping burgers. That would be a big mistake. He needs to be that big dark entity.”
Paul also goes on to give another tidbit about the relationship his character Stefan will have with the bad guy Klaus, it’s going to be a very interesting second half of the season by the sounds of it.
Klaus is “definitely still a huge part of the second half of the season,” and that he and Stefan will “continue to walk that fine line between friendship and foe.” “There’s things we need from him and there’s things he needs from us. It’s that sort of back-and-forth for the rest of the season,” he says.

PAUL PRATAR OM DAMON & ELENA KYSS!
The 29-year-old insisted that Stefan is still in love with Elena (Nina Dobrev) despite leaving her in the second season finale for a life as a ripper alongside Klaus (Joseph Morgan).
“If Stefan is the way he is now, then no,” Wesley told Zap2it when asked if the vampire will ever be interested in another woman. “Because Stefan isn’t thinking about other women in the least bit. He’s completely in love with Elena and he’s doing this whole thing for Elena.”
Wesley went on to reveal that Stefan will find out about Elena’s kiss with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), admitting that the vampire will be angered by the news.
“I’ll answer that with one word,” Wesley said when asked if Stefan will lose his temper over the kiss. “Yes.”
Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec previously suggested that the kiss would cause drama on the CW series.
Finally, Wesley told the website that Stefan is still adamantly set against Klaus despite having become his traveling companion.
“No, definitely not,” Wesley said when asked if Stefan would consider Klaus to be a friend. “I don’t know where it’ll lead, but at this point, he’s an absolute enemy. He killed Aunt Jenna! I can’t make friends with that guy.”
